It's Decision Time: Facing Your Red Sea

Key Text: Exodus 14:5–18 (NASB 1995)

Introduction
The Israelites, delivered from Egypt by the blood of the Passover lamb, leave boldly with provisions and gifts from their former oppressors. Pharaoh hardens his heart once more, pursues with his full military might, and traps them against the Red Sea. What should have been a straight path to the Promised Land becomes a crisis of faith. The people fear, complain, and long to return to slavery. This account shows what happens when life deviates from our plans—and what God demands in response: silence to fear, trust in His salvation, and forward movement by faith.

I. Fear Dominates When We Fixate on Circumstances (Exodus 14:9–12)

II. Stand Still and See the Salvation of the LORD (Exodus 14:13–14)

III. Go Forward by Faith (Exodus 14:15–18)

Conclusion / Call to Action
Red Sea moments expose whether we will complain like Israel or trust like Moses. God still fights for His people. He still parts impossible barriers. He still calls us to go forward. Resolve today: in every trial, silence fear, stand still to see His salvation, then move forward in faith. The God who divided the sea and raised Christ from the dead is with you. Who can stand against Him?
